to jean or not to jean

I can't stop thinking about getting new jeans! But I can't really decide what I want.

Normally, I prefer plain jeans with zero embellishments and no distressing or "whiskers". My favorite jeans are J Brand.

But lately, I guess since I've been hosting the Current/Elliot giveaway (have you entered yet??), I've been obsessing over those skinnies (ugh, can I win my own giveaway?) as well as the boyfriend jean.

Seriously, they're totally not my style and I totally thought Katie Holmes looked completely ridic when she started sportin' them.

Then I see Rachel Bilson and Reese Witherspoon wearing them.. And they look so darn cute! It makes me wonder if I'd look that cute wearing a scrubby tshirt carrying my dog around town!

Maybe I should get something less hole-y though - like these Rich & Skinny ones. They're a little cleaner, which is more me.

Or maybe I should just go out on a limb and be crazy.

And forget about suggesting that I steal my actual boyfriend's jeans. They'd be too small. *shame* He wears baby size 28 and they're loose on him - real boy jeans don't account for real girl booties.

Dude. Are my thighs so thunderous that I can't even fit them in my new JBrand Lovestory jeans? I actually have to get down on the ground to pull them up!

When did I turn into one of those girls?

My gf she has a pair too and swears they'll stretch out. I really hope so.

Once they're on, the waist is fine if not a little loose. But those thighs.. I swear I may need to grease up my legs before trying them on again.

*Thundering Hooves is actually a meat biz. I've always been tempted to order from them... Prolly not a good idea since I can't fit into my new jeans.

cost saving measures

I seriously deserve a round of applause.

*clap clap clap*

I scored a pair of grey Rich and Skinny straight-leg jeans and a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg jeans by J Brands for about $30 each.

But not only did I find a great deal, I extended my cost saving measures by hemming the jeans myself! Why pay an additional $15 for my tailor to do it when I had all the time in the world last week to do it myself? I figured that if I screwed up, I could turn them into capris or cut offs.

(Fie. Is that a muffin top I spy? Must remind myself to suck it in.)

I was a little nervous being that my first foray into the world of seams yielded me this sleeping beauty. To prepare myself, I watched a couple video on YouTube as a refresher. (YouTube has everything!)

Obviously I'm not so adventurous as to try to keep the original hem, but I did my best and you can hardly tell they're home made!

I'm not sure how to wear my grey jeans but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Ok.. I'm not really that good but I am returning those J Brand jeans that I bought last week at full price from Nordstrom. And instead, I bought these! But wait! They were only $47 at Sway & Cake. Isn't that crazy? They're a little bit big but at that price, I can afford to have them taken in!

Now I have to confess.. While I am returning those first ones, I totally re-bought them at a different store because they were 30% off! I know.. Bad, right? D'oh!

But think of it this way, for the same price I got two! It's like I got a free pair of jeans...

I couldn't help myself. I don't know what kind of powers the gays have
over me, but if a gay is sellin', LRB is buyin'. Its sad really.

I went to Nordstrom to look for a bridal shower gift for my
girlfriend. Next thing you know, I'm trying on JBrand and Rich &
Skinny jeans. I ended up buying a pair of skinny JBrands and they
weren't even on sale! Oh woe is me. I am so pathetic. At least I got
a pair of free panties! (They're the Calvin Klein "naked" ones and I
must say theyre pretty amazing. They fit like, err.. Like you're
naked! Might have to get some more!)

Doesn't matter what it is. I will buy anything from a gay! If a gay
asked me to marry him, I probably would.

I know I don't need new jeans, but I really want to get a new pair of straight leg jeans. I kinda like these mid rise J Brand ones at ShopBop. They're $159 but right now that have a $25 discount. But that means it's only about 15% off. That's not a sale! I need them to be $100 off.

I wonder if Barney's has them... I still have some cheddar on that gift card. I don't know how much though. It can be a little surprise for myself!

Will it be $10? Or $50? Oh what fun! WHEEEEE!

Oooh.. Or I should totally wait to see if I get any gift cards to Nordstroms from work! I'm expecting at least one, in the next couple weeks. Double WHEEEEE! Too bad Nordstrom doesn't carry J Brand any more.

Got any suggestions for dark, straight leg jeans? I like plain ones.
