As I continue my quest in perfecting my skills in accessories, I find myself a little bit obsessed with these anti-PETA headbands.
I blame Diabolina because she's been blogging incessantly about her adoration of all things feathered.
And then DailyCandy goes and sends me my morning email with some exotic plummage. How can you not love this Pluma headband?
But is it wearable or will I look like the crazy bird lady from Mary Poppins?
Over the weekend, I also tried on Forever 21's version. At $10, it's a steal but I wasn't crazy about the colors. The more natural colors didn't quite stand out in my dark hair and then there were the fakey colors. Yikes.
I need to mull this over. Please feel free to weigh in on this - to feather or not to feather.

dying laughing about the bird lady from mary poppins. love the references when we are afraid of looking like "don'ts." Definitely have to pick JUST THE RIGHT feathers. Agree that they have to pop but not be TOO in your face.
may i suggest Urban Outfitters? or nordie's?
A lot of the little boutique shops have been carrying feathered items for quite some time, and now they are being seen at the name brand shops, too. I rather like them, though I want to like some more than I do. Some look great as an accessory and a mess in the hair (like a bird crashing in).
All in all I think it is a do- but done wisely and as a subtle touch. BCBG has the most (consistently) wearable ones I have seen so far, but they do come with a price tag.
I say feather. But make sure it stands out!
